Why I do what I do

I'm Nicole, the Sugarista behind Sweet Sugar Smooth in Chilliwack. After spending over a decade working in healthcare and a few years teaching, I hit a point in my life where I wanted to shift toward something more personal. I've always loved helping people feel confident and cared for, and over time, I realized that could look a little different than I expected. My journey into body sugaring started as self-care: I wanted an alternative to harsh waxing and shaving that didn't leave my skin angry. Once I tried sugaring, I was hooked.

What started as a personal thing quickly became something I wanted to offer others. I trained, studied, and practiced obsessively. I knew if I was going to do this, I'd do it right. The goal was never just to wax people. It was to give them a space where they feel completely at ease. That's how Sweet Sugar Smooth was born. I built this studio to be private, calm, clean, and judgment-free. You can come in as you are, and leave feeling like the best version of yourself. Smooth skin is just a bonus.

One of the first clients I ever had was a woman in her 60s who told me she hadn't worn shorts in years because of the hair on her legs. After one session, she walked out smiling, said she felt “ten years lighter,” and actually emailed me a picture of herself at the lake the following week, shorts and all. That moment stuck with me. This work isn't just about looks; it's about how people feel in their bodies.

These days, I work with all kinds of clients: women, men, teens, first-timers, regulars, and even some brave partners tagging along for support. I offer everything from Brazilian and bikini sugaring to full face, chest, back, and leg treatments. Whatever your reason for booking, I meet you where you're at. Every appointment is customized to you. No cookie-cutter routines, and definitely no judgment.

Sweet Sugar Smooth proudly serves clients from Chilliwack, Sardis, Vedder, Promontory, Yarrow, Greendale, Rosedale, and even as far as Hope and Agassiz. I'm grateful for every person who trusts me with their skin. This studio is more than a business to me. It's personal.
